Diet: Losing weight is relatively easy. For this, you need to permanently adjust your eating habits and exercise regularly.
Eating habits breaks down into frequency, content and/or amount.
Method 1: Your body burns calories each time food is being digested. It therefore makes sense to have five or six small healthy meals instead of the usual daily two or three big ones. It further helps if you liquidise some of these meals: this will fill you up more.
Method 2: Take no more than 20% of your 'normal' calorie intake every other day.
In any case, avoid:
All confectionery – cakes, biscuits, chocolate etc.
Processed sugar
Fast or convenience foods
Alcoholic drinks
Fizzy drinks
Do take:
Lots of fruit
Plenty of vegetables. Many do not need cooking; eat them raw
High fibre foods
Protein foods
Pulses
Apple cider vinegar in salads
A minimum of 6 glasses of water daily
Method 3 - Veganism: I tried strict veganism and yoga for 12 months. My senses of taste and smell became much sharper and I also felt better. I lost 26 pounds. I also saved on food, animal products being so expensive. You will need vitamin B12 supplements.
Method 4 - Psyllium Husks: One teaspoon in a glass of water immediately followed by another glass of water half an hour before the main meal will seriously dampen appetite. This natural non addictive product will also help cleanse the colon. Available at health shops for a pittance.
Method 5 - Brown Bread: If you wish for a diet change, but do not have the will power, the first thought should be to buy my DVD set. Click on DVD). Otherwise, buy genuine organic brown bread and eat daily on perhaps at least five different sittings. Eat at least a loaf a day.
